Security Shear Nuts are available in zinc, stainless steel or galvanised mild steel. The Security Shear Nuts has a conical shaped body with a hexagonal nut at the top, this means that it can tightened using a standard spanner. When the nut approaches its maximum torque point the hexagonal part shear off leaving just the Security Shear Nuts remaining. This unique feature renders the Security Shear Nuts tamper proof, reducing the risk of vandals or intruders tampering or undoing the fastener. The Security Shear Nuts is only a ‘1 way’ application.
